This Privacy Policy describes how Kuwait FX, developed and operated by FinTech House ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information in connection with our Android mobile application. By using Kuwait FX, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview & Nature of the Application

Kuwait FX is a non-transactional, informational utility designed to display live Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) exchange rates for expatriate users in Kuwait. The application does not process financial transactions, handle monetary transfers, or engage in any commercial checkout activities.

2. Public User Access — No Registration Required

General public users of Kuwait FX are not required to create an account, provide an email address, register a phone number, or submit any form of personal identification. The application is completely open for public use with no mandatory registration process. Users may optionally enter a display name and select their home country during the onboarding flow for personalisation purposes only.

3. Local Data Storage Only

Any minimal text inputs provided voluntarily by users — such as a display name or home country selection — are stored exclusively on the user's own physical device using local cache storage (SharedPreferences). This data is never transmitted to, uploaded to, or stored on any remote server, third-party cloud database, or external infrastructure. Users may clear this data at any time by clearing the application's data through their device settings.

4. Secure Admin Authentication Panel

Kuwait FX contains a secure, isolated administrative dashboard accessible exclusively to authorised internal staff members of FinTech House. This admin panel requires verified email credentials and is entirely segregated from the public user experience. Through this panel, authorised administrators may:

• Manually update live exchange rate data in real time
• Compose and deploy push notification alerts to users
• Monitor notification delivery history

No general public user has access to, visibility of, or interaction with the administrative panel.

5. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Push Notifications

Kuwait FX integrates Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google LLC, to deliver push notification alerts regarding exchange rate updates, significant market movements, and promotional remittance discount events at local Kuwait money exchange houses.

In connection with FCM, a non-identifiable, temporary technical device token is generated by the FCM service on the user's device. This token is used solely for the technical purpose of routing broadcast notifications to subscribed devices. It does not identify any individual user, is not linked to any personal information, and is not stored on our servers in association with any personal profile.

Users may opt out of push notifications at any time through their device's notification settings.

6. Location Data — Explicitly Not Collected

Kuwait FX does not request, access, collect, process, or store any location data — whether foreground or background — from users' devices. No GPS coordinates, IP-based geolocation, or proximity data is utilised at any point within the application. The application does not require or use location permissions.

7. Financial & Commercial Activities

Kuwait FX does not sell retail goods, process commercial purchases, coordinate monetary checkouts, or facilitate any financial transaction of any kind. All information displayed within the application is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Kuwait FX is not a licensed financial institution, money exchange operator, or remittance service.

8. Third-Party Services

The application uses the following third-party services, each governed by their respective privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google LLC) — Anonymous authentication, Firestore real-time database, and Cloud Messaging. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — The application may display non-intrusive banner advertisements in future versions. AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Kuwait FX is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through our application, please contact us immediately.

10. Data Security

All data transmitted between the application and Firebase infrastructure is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security). We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect any information processed by our systems.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Users will be notified of material changes through in-app notifications. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Rates displayed may differ from those offered by individual exchange houses, banks, or remittance operators at the time of transaction.

3. Past Data Does Not Predict Future Outcomes

Past informational metrics, historical rate trends, and previously displayed data do not dictate, guarantee, or indicate future exchange rate outcomes. Currency markets are inherently unpredictable and subject to sudden, material movements outside any observable historical pattern.

4. User Assumes Full Responsibility

Users of Kuwait FX assume complete and sole structural liability for their separate, external financial activities and decisions. Kuwait FX, its developers, administrators, and affiliated parties shall not be held liable for any financial loss, missed opportunity, or adverse outcome arising from reliance on information displayed within the application.

5. Not a Licensed Financial Service

Kuwait FX is not a licensed financial institution, money exchange operator, remittance service, investment adviser, or brokerage. We are not regulated by the Central Bank of Kuwait or any other financial regulatory authority. The application does not process financial transactions of any kind.

6. Third-Party Exchange Services

Any financial transactions, money transfers, or currency exchanges users choose to undertake are conducted entirely through independent third-party operators and institutions. Kuwait FX has no affiliation with, control over, or responsibility for the operations, rates, terms, or outcomes of any such third-party financial service providers.

7. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kuwait FX and FinTech House shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of, or inability to use, this application or its content.
